Job Title: Process Engineer (Innovations, Research & Development)

Overview:

iMFLUX Innovation team is immediately seeking an experienced, hands-on leader and creative thinker.  This candidate will be critical to driving new iMFLUX product innovations and improve existing capabilities of the iMFLUX suite of technologies. This is a highly visible role with the Innovations/R&D organization that requires a unique skill set. The immediate need is to ‘hit the ground running’ in support of a critical strategic customer implementation.  This will require an in depth knowledge of the iMFLUX process control technology, an ability to leverage this technology in breakthrough and creative ways, an ability to mold ‘non-conventional’ polymer materials, a strong working knowledge of mold design, fabrication and construction techniques as well as a desire to solve complex mechanical and manufacturing system challenges. We are looking for a leader that can leverage all of these capabilities and experiences to be strong voice, advocate, teacher and collaborator with strategic partners; both internally to the iMFLUX community and externally to our customers. The ideal candidate should be recoginized as a top performer in their field of expertise today and be well versed in convetional injection molding and iMFLUX injection molding.

Essentials Functions:

Proven leadership skills.  Comfortable leading a team through ambiguity.  We are not looking for a ‘task master’, rather someone with the ability to speak up, navigatge through challenging scenrarios and express confidence amoungst the team.

• Strong understanding of conventional injection molding processing methods combined with expertise in iMFLUX process engineering capabilities.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills including machine design, operation, and integration.  

• Ability to participate in injection mold and/or part design discussions.  Regularly make contributions to complex tooling and/or part design challenges.  Ability to understand tooling constraints/risk and recommend creative solutions to mitigate each.

• Candiate must have a passion for technology, industry trends, new capabilities, and working o projects that experience rapid scope change.

• Ability to work in a demanding and deadline driven environment, and after normal business hours when needed, on occasion.

• Intermediate skills/experience in project management desired.

• Possess the ability to lead deep collaboration with internal and external customers, deal effectively with users, peers, and management.

• Motivated by the success of others / willingness to be flexible.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in face-to-face customer support, service and/or collaborative multi-funtional team environment. The candidate should not expect to work in a ‘vacuum’, but rather work directly with internal and external customers to clearly define goals, actions and project success criteria.

• Experience in delivering projects from concept to completion on rapid timelines.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, inclusing a high degree of confidence when working directly with high level management teams.
