Overview:

As an Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to grow revenue by selling iMFLUX processing solutions within the plastics industry, meeting iMFLUX’s strategy through a technical sales approach.  Working closely with the Vice President of sales, and through rigorous account planning and management, you will help drive sales through a consultative sales approach, building relationships across the client’s organization, and achieving the highest levels of satisfaction.  Although you will receive broad direction on goals, revenue targets, as well as working within our Where To Play (WTP), you will be expected to make independent decisions with limited input from leaders.  Support and training will be provided as needed, however the successful candidate will have a technical aptitude and be capable of working independent in most cases, prospecting for new opportunities, and driving those opportunities to a successful sale.

Essentials Functions:

  • Responsible for selling iMFLUX processing solutions for both new and existing iMFLUX customers by creating and executing account strategy.  This will involve collaborating with senior leaders to grow relationships and revenue with new and existing accounts.
  • Generating new leads by prospecting for new opportunities while following our Where-To-Play (WTP) guidelines.  This includes investigation of injection molders in the industry/areas served, evaluation of our potential fit and benefit, as well as cold-calling and breaking down barriers.  The Account Manager is responsible for keeping the sales pipeline full.
  • The ability to overcome the challenges of selling a groundbreaking technology in an industry ingrained in a completely different, long-standing and deep-rooted process.  The challenges include the ability to break through the up-front, counterintuitive skepticism by having the technical understanding to overcome the objections and educate on the science behind this disruptive technology. 
  • Build relationships with key executives and decision makers within assigned accounts, while connecting at all levels of the account organization.  This will include working in close collaboration with assign customer teams to foster relationships and build trust from the plant floor to the board room.
  • Form strategic account plans including customer profiles, targeted programs, application descriptions, forecast reports, and action items.  Identify opportunities and take responsibility for breaking down barriers, while working within our company strategy and Where-To-Play focus.
  • Delivery value to both brand owners and molders, with the ability to navigate and work within the challenging relationships between the two.
  • Strong ability to negotiate, overcome objections, and close orders independently that meet the company strategic and commercial objectives.
  • Build and maintain a deep technical understanding of the iMFLUX process, be capable of presenting and educating the client on the technical aspects of the prospect, while also the benefits and value delivered. 
  • Encourage pursuit of excellence, creating Raving Fans and placing iMFLUX in the best possible position to succeed at each account at all times. 
  • Develop, share and maintain an in-depth knowledge of all key competitors or perceived competitors.
  • Assume full responsibility of quota attainment as agreed to and communicated by the Sales Vice President.
  • Participation and involvement in applicable industry conferences and trade shows, as well as contribution to marketing efforts, planning, and execution.
  • All other duties as assigned

Functional Skills:

  • The Ability to build relationships and quickly develop trust with C-Level executives including CFO, CPO and CEO required.
  • Ability to break down barriers and self-sufficient
  • Highly professional written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a sales team environment and within all levels of the iMFLUX organization. 

Qualifications:

 

  • 10+ years of technical sales experience in the plastics industry, preferably injection molding.
  • Exceptional technical presentation skills required.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skill required.
