Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety
The Environment Health & Safety Leader (EHS) is responsible for leading the site’s EHS systems for the plant. In this role, the EHS Leader will report to the Plant Engineer and/or the Plant Manager and will ensure integration of the EHS systems with the other requirements of the site. The EHS Leader will be responsible for developing and maintaining the capability in each of the EHS technologies (i.e. Industrial Hygiene and Safety (IH&S) , Environmental, Technical Safety, Electrical Systems, Fire Protection, and Key Ingredients) The EHS Leader is also responsible to ensure the effectiveness of key EHS programs, including Leadership & Commitment, On-Site Contractor Visitor Safety (OSCV), Training & Procedures, Behavior & Culture, and Prevention & Improvement (Change Management, Emergency Response, Incident Investigation, etc). The EHS Leader must ensure that the site is clear on all of its compliance obligations and ensure that the site is in compliance with all applicable EHS laws. The EHS Leader must provide leadership to ensure that the iMFLUX EHS policies and standards are implemented.
Ability to develop executable plans with clear expectations and hold people accountable for results.
Strong leadership skills - Prior experience in leading, coaching and managing others. This includes facilitating group interactions, benchmarking & reapplying systems and processes from other sites, assessing current performance & recommending improvements, and influencing the organization up and down
Knowledge of EHS technical areas (Environmental, Technical Safety, Electrical Systems, Fire Protection, and Key Ingredients)
Prior experience/certification in EHS technical areas
Understanding of local and regional safety standards and machine safety.
Effective communicator with collaboration and networking skills. Able to work effectively with all levels of the site, external P&G resources and external regulatory agencies.
Knowledge of local language and English language is mandatory.
Develop personal EHS mastery – Overall technical capability to coach Environmental, Technical Safety and Health Services.
Ensure each system owner is qualified and has an action plan for improvement of results
Electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering background recommended.
Train and coach the organization – Must be an effective trainer for all associates at all levels. . Manage change and maintain permits – Must ensure a robust system to manage the site permitting process, compliance with laws & site permits, anticipate and manage change, develop strategies to reduce risk, and maintain a system to host outside regulatory agencies.
7-10 years experience in a Health and Safety Role
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
